Harry,
I would appreciate it if you would get the following information out to our class. The son of a very good friend of mine (she and I grew up next door to each other and her parents still live beside my mother) was killed this afternoon in a motorcycle accident. He was a Greensboro Firefighter and was killed on his way home from work. His Mom’s name is Brenda Welch and his name was Cole Morton (no relation to us). He was Brenda’s only child. He was 26 years old (I think that’s right).
I would appreciate it if the class would keep Brenda and Jeff (Cole’s Father), and the rest of Cole’s family in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you for getting this information out. I am so upset by this that I can’t even think of how to go about emailing everyone. Thanks a lot.

Hello everyone,
Brad and I are teaching the 5th Grade SS class for the month of October. However, we have two different family events taking place in Virginia the first weekend in October, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Is there any willing soul out there that could teach for us Sunday, October 7th? We would be happy to trade a week with someone in another month – even this Sunday! Just let us know.
Thanks & blessings to all!

Will ya’ll pass along a prayer request for Guy’s grandfather? He had a stroke this morning and is in the hopsital in Greenville, NC. He is 85 years old and has always been the epitome of health and strength. However, recently he was diagnosed with cancer in his throat. 3 years ago, he battled lung cancer and endured the removal of one lung. He has always bounced back from things before, but the docs are saying he is “unresponsive”.
We are not sure what that means exactly, but we are heading to Raleigh and then Greenville for the weekend. We were supposed to be having a big celebration this weekend in Raleigh for Guy’s father’s 60th b-day, but that has now been put on hold.
Thanks for keeping the family in your prayers. If you go to Sunday School on Sunday, can you please lift this request up with the class? Thanks.
Love, Sarah
